Prof. Takahiro Takei of the Center for Crystal Science and Technology received the CerSJ Awards for academic achievements in ceramic science and technology
?At the Ceramic Society of Japan Awards Ceremony held at the Courtyard Marriott Ginza Tobu Hotel (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) on Thursday, June 7, 2024, Prof. Takahiro Takei of the CCST received the 78th (2023) CerSJ Awards for academic achievements in ceramic science and technology.
?This award is given to researchers who have conducted valuable research in the science and technology of ceramics and have achieved particularly outstanding results. This award was presented to Prof. Takei for his research on “Structural control of layered compounds based on soft chemistry and development for new functional materials,” which is expected to have various applications such as photocatalysis, rare earth recovery, large-capacity capacitors, ammonia decomposition hydrogen generation catalyst technology, and so on.
?Prof. Takei said, “I am very honored that my series of research results on the creation of functional materials using soft chemistry on layered compounds has been recognized. I would like to continue to devote myself to my research activities.”
