The Students of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering,developes a guide robot named “Sattochan.”

　The Students of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, developed a guide AI robot named “Sattochan.”　
　This robot for guiding the Satoshi ?mura Museum was developed to let visitors to learn more about the achievements of Dr. Satoshi ?mura, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
　The Students from the Mechatronics Engineering Department created the frame, the control system of movement, and the sensor processing such as the voice and image recognition with their technology skills. The design of “Sattochan” was created by the student in the Faculty of Education, and “Sattochan”was named by Dr. ?mura.
　“Sattochan” has been set up at the Satoshi ?mura Museum to guide for the visitors.
The project team is going to research about behavioral changes of visitors from now on.
