Dr. Shintaro Ueno received Young Scientist Presentation Award in The 77th JSAP Autumn Meeting 2016
Dr. Shintaro Ueno, an assistant professor of Department of Applied Chemistry received Young Scientist Presentation Award in The 77th JSAP (The Japan Society of Applied Physics) Autumn Meeting 2016 (13th – 16th September 2016) and participated in the award ceremony held on 14th March 2017.
He also gave an invited talk on “Development of Conductor / Insulator Fine-composites Prepared by Low-temperature Processes” in The 64th JSAP Spring Meeting 2017 (14th – 17th March 2017).
His group developed the novel low-temperature process to prepare composite ceramic capacitors consisting of base metal grains and insulated grain boundary layers (usually called as barrier layer capacitors in this research field), and they also demonstrated the metal / insulator composite capacitors with fine grains show the excellent dielectric properties.
Young Scientist Presentation Award is designed to recognize young JSAP members for their outstanding contributed presentations (including poster presentations) during JSAP Meetings which would contribute to the development of the field of applied physics.
