“South-Eastern Asia Culture Introduction Event” was held at the Center of International Education and Exchange
Another event out of the series organized by the Center of International Education and Exchange for promoting the mutual culture understanding among the foreign students and Japanese students was held in G-philos on November 30th.
Five international students from Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia made brief presentations about their culture, tradition and foods. They also entertained participants with their handmade traditional dishes which are not familiar to most Japanese people. 66 students joined the event.
It was a good opportunity for all the participants to learn different cultures and to know that the cultures of these countries are different from Japanese one even in the same Asian regions.
This event was covered by Television Yamanashi (UTY) and will be broadcast on Dec. 6th as one of the topics of news program which regularly starts from 18:15.
